SUMMARY:SIGUL 2024
DESCRIPTION:SIGUL is a Special Interest Group on Under-resourced Languages set up by the ELRA Language Resources Association (ELRA) and the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA) with the intent of focusing on the particular needs and requirements of under-resourced languages in terms of Language Resources and Technologies. \n\n\n\nSIGUL 2024\, the 3rd SIGUL Annual Meeting\, will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge research in language processing for under-resourced languages by academic and industry researchers and\, carrying on the tradition of the SLTU\, CCURL\, SLTU-CCURL and SIGUL Workshop Series (2008-2023)\, it will span the research interest areas of less-resourced\, under-resourced\, endangered\, minority and minoritized languages. \n\n\n\nSIGUL 2024 will take place in Torino (IT) from 20 to 21 May 2024 as a Satellite Workshop of LREC-COLING 2024. \n\n\n\nA Special Session on languages of Italy and language technologies will be addressed to researchers interested in developing language resources and technologies for the many languages of Italy (regional\, minority or heritage languages\, including those of the neighboring countries)\, which reflects the long and varied history of this country. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCall for Papers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSubmission Deadline\n\n\n\n26 February 2024 4 March 2024 \n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Venue

DESCRIPTION:Two major international key players in the area of ​​Computational Linguistics – the ELRA Language Resources Association (ELRA) and the International Committee on Computational Linguistics (ICCL) – have joined their forces to organize LREC-COLING 2024\, the Joint International Conference on Computational Linguistics\, Language Resources and Evaluation\, which will be held at the Lingotto Conference Centre in Torino (IT) as well as in a virtual format from 20 to 25 May 2024. \n\n\n\nThe hybrid Conference will bring together researchers and practitioners in Computational Linguistics\, Speech\, Multimodality and Natural Language Processing\, with a special attention to Evaluation and the development of Language Resources that support work in these areas. \n\n\n\nFollowing the tradition of the well-established COLING and LREC Conferences\, LREC-COLING 2024 will feature grand challenges and provide attendees with ample opportunities for exchanging information and ideas through oral presentations and extensive poster sessions\, complemented by a friendly social program. \n\n\n\nThe Main Conference\, scheduled from 22 to 24 May 2024\, will be preceded and followed by a series of Workshops and Tutorials\, scheduled for 20\, 21 and 25 May 2024. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1st Call for Papers\n\n\n\n2nd Call for Papers\n\n\n\nCall for Worshops\n\n\n\nCall for Tutorials\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSubmisssion Deadlines\n\n\n\nLong\, Short and Position Papers:  13/10/2023 20/10/2023Workshop and Tutorial Proposals:  13/10/2023 20/10/2023 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCommitment to Diversity\, Inclusion and Anti-Harassment\n\n\n\nLREC-COLING 2024 adheres to a strong Anti-Harassment Policy.
